Week 4 of Stepping Up SquareOne’s Customer Success Game
Hey! I’m spending 30 days helping SquareOne take their Customer Success to the next level with engaging newsletters, FAQs, community interactions, and tech tools to make it all more efficient. This post is part of my weekly project update series. Click here to view the full project!
The Plan
- Polish the landing page. Fill out all sections, double-check all the links are accurate, and publish on Medium.
- Write a cold email for SquareOne, showcasing my project.
- Blog post going over the cold email, why I presented it the way I did etc.
- Blog post recapping the project and my final thoughts
- Proofreading EVERYTHING. Making final edits on blogs and articles. If necessary, be willing to reshoot videos
- Recap of week 4 (this post)
The Results
I got the important stuff done, but did not meet the goal I set for myself last week of getting it done early.
Sometimes life happens. In this case, I got offered an interview out of the blue, which probably frazzled me more than it should have. I felt overwhelmed at having to prep for the interview and finish this project at the same time.
My energy tanked and I was fighting an uphill battle for three days getting myself to work. I eventually pulled through, and Monday the energy and drive came back. I analyzed this more in my final thoughts on the project.
I reshot the slideshow walkthrough twice (Part 1, Part 2, Part 3). Actually, I reshot it a lot more than that, but had two complete sets of takes that were decent, with the most recent being my best.
I did a lot of proofreading and editing on my writing, and worked on moving it into Medium and fixing all the links so that they don’t direct the reader to Google docs.
I wrote an email pitch of this project to SquareOne. I’m looking forward to seeing what comes of it!
What I Learned
My biggest mistake of this last week was not deciding the order in which I would do my tasks. I originally intended to write the email pitch at the beginning of the week, but when the time came I decided I didn’t want to send them a Notion doc linking to Google docs.
The bigger issue was that my landing page wasn’t anywhere near complete. So I ended up reversing the order entirely, spending the whole week working on the landing page and publishing everything, before I finally felt ready to ship the pitch to SquareOne.
Going Forward
Phew! Somehow this month has gone by fast, yet starting this project seems forever ago. My goal over the next couple days is to get all the work I’ve done onto my Talent Profile, and make some final edits based on feedback.
That’s a wrap!
